Coping video from Digital 8 video to DVD?

Is there an easy way to remove video from a Digital 8 (Sony Handycam) and be able to copy it to a HDD and turn it into a DVD?

Not sure the process of this never done it and figured I could get some assistance

Use the software that came with the camera. Barring that, uLead, Pinnacle and Sony all have software to do the deed. uLead has fully functional demos, the others might too.
