Audigy 2 ZS in, laptop speakers dont work.

i purchased a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS for recording a few days ago and when i have it in and headphone port open the speakers wont work. When i take the card out, the speakers work. Ive been in audio, and sound devices all day and cant figure it out.

thanks,
goffer

Are you talking about your internal speakers or some external ones?

pretty sure he means internal, and I think that this is how it is designed to work, that the ZS takes control as the primary sound output. Not exactly sure of the details, but I think that it should be working that way, so nothing is really wrong. anyone know a work-around (other than taking it out )
