System Tweaks and utilities useful for benchmarking
Information collated by kyrrer, thanks for your work mate
NB! This is just a listing of useful little utilities to test and tweak your system. For general as well as more in depth information I refer you to Sakors excellent Dell notebook FAQ. Quoted stuff in my list is taken from Sakors FAQ. Dell Support General utilities: I9kFanGUI Win XP PowerToys Tweakui, ClearType Tuner, etc TuneXP 1.5 A tweaking guide with utility links. BelArc System Information System Mechanic Dead Pixel Buddy Benchmarking: 3DMark06 3DMark05 3DMark03 PCMark05 PCMark04 Aquamark3 SuperPI (lemme know if there is a newer version) HD Tach 3 HDD benchmarking with comparison Registry Tweaks (not really a utility, but I thought it was pretty good) Quote:
I guess we can expand this thread to cover a broader field, like drivers and such if people want. It'd just be nice to have one thread where you can find all your needed links and utilities, since I for one can't seem to find nuttn with the search function. (Sakor, I guess you can just rename the thread and edit the posts as you see fit.) |

Keep it coming with more of them, I guess. I don't know them all. I'm just trying to collect the ones I've seen mentioned here.

Any one know a utility to overclock cpu's on Dells, or do you all do it in the bios (can you oc in the bios?)
Never oc'd a Dell before, but thought I'd give it a try after the shitty SuperPI results I got. |
