Good question. Quake doesn't have a build-in benchmark like doom did, so let me see if I can download one and compare....

Maybe on single core crank it right up and play. Then enable dual support. Itll onlt test the 'feel' tho.

I downloaded a benchmark here:

It took forever to download, and then it crashed when I ran it, but I was able to use their canned demo with timedemo.

I didn't OC the GPU, since I just want to test the CPU.

At 1920x1200, there was no difference between single and dual core. 46 FPS for both.

At 640x480, there was about a 10% difference. 91 FPS for single core, and 99 FPS for dual core.

Somebody else might want to try a different bench and see what they get.

i have no benchies...but all i can say is it plays great and looks superb on my WXGA+ screen
