Stubborn BisonCAM 9750
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forums. I have a Sager 9750 and I need some help with the camera driver. When I received the machine and went through the checks to determine everything was working, I found that my camera was very black, almost as if it were light inhibited or there was a plastic film over the lens. I read in the manual that if the camera looked Black it was because the AverTV software and the camera driver were loaded in the wrong order!! I uninstalled the camera driver from add / remove programs, rebooted the machine and tried to reinstall it and although the software and driver do reinstall, my device manager has a yellow question mark over the Imaging devices \ USB2 camera. When I click on the properties of the driver it says the driver was found and loaded but has an error 41 that the device is not found. I found some posts about toggling the camera off an on with FN-F10 on other models and tried that but nothing works. In device manager I then chose to view hidden devices and noticed a yellow question mark over the interrupt controller under other. I loaded the interrupt controller driver from the drivers and utilities CD and the device loaded properly but the camera will not load no matter what I do. I have tried safe mode, uninstalling AverTV and the camera and reinstalling in the correct order, and even comparing DLL versions from the CD to the various Windows directories it loads them in. Any help with ideas on what I can try next would be greatly appreciated. I would like to avoid rebuilding if possible. There are no error messages in the Event logs and everything else works great! |
