Counterstrike SOURCE on m140...

I have 512 ram im my m140 and when I go to play css available ram drops to 20 (per freeramxp) which i'm assuming is the number my comp. will not allow to go under. In CS I'm getting a horid 9 FPS.

Is anyone running thise game at atleast 30fps? Could it be a ram issue or am I just doomed with this intel GPU.

Yes css needs alot more than 512mb of ram. I had the same problem with my 600m, hl2 was pretty much unplayable at the lowest resolution. I bumped up the ram to a gig and I was able to get a decent frame rate.

Just go to newegg and buy 2 GB, then you won't have to worry about RAM needs again. Got mine for $120 a few months ago (2 GB).

Decent is 50-70fps. And yes, this goes to show u that even with a dedicated gpu, if a computer doesnt have 1gig of ram, it will not run the game at playable rates.

Yeah, I had 1 GB of RAM in my XPS, and it played ok, but it would take forever to load each map, and even closing the game took like a full minute. Going to 2 GB really sped it up.

You really need a graphics card to play HL2, integrated intel crap doesn't work very well unfortunately.

The M140 isn't crap. Some people luck out and get screens that aren't to great.
