Fujitsu problem

Hello everyone,

My son received a Fujitsu laptop, at a cost of 2400.00 because he is a disabled student. About 2 months later the up and down keys started falling off. I started contacting Fujitsu in April to get it fixed or exchanged.

Now there is no Fujitsu here where I live so they told me to I would have to send it back to the company at my expense of 60.00. I was shocked and did not have the money to send it back. Then they said they would pay the cost of shipping and by this time about 40% of the keys had fallen off.

So I finally pryed this baby from my sons hands. I was told to wrap it in bubble wrap and that was it. It arrived at Fujitsu damaged and now they are trying to blame me!!!!

I have called and called and they are becoming ruder and ruder with me. Does anyone here have any idea where or who I can go to for help???

THanks in advance.

If you bought it from a reseller, contact them.

As for the damage, it is common sense to package a notebook well if you are going to be shipping it anywhere. Taping on a piece of bubble wrap ain't going to protect it... you need to actually wrap it and make the notebook isn't loose in the box. So essentially, if it's damaged because you packaged it badly, it IS your fault. You should pay for whatever damage was caused by your bad packaging.

If it was packaged properly but the box was all beat up and such due to the shipping company, contact them. Even better, if you bought shipping insurance, you can probably get them to pay you around the price of the comptuer for a new one.

What notebook is it anyways? Keys falling off is not good, but I'm sure Fujitsu will take care of it. Just be polite, phone them up to speak to a live person, and hopefully you can get it resolved. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. Sorry if I am stupid, but I packaged it like I was told to package it by the guy at Fujitsu. He siad "put bubble wrap around it, put it in a box and ship it out". I have been very sick and I just did what I was told to do. The box was an accesory box and it fit in there very snug with the bubble wrap.
