New 5760, can I add bluetooth?

Just ordered and received a brand new Sager 5760. I've never liked laptops, but this is a very nice machine. I made a small mistake in ordering it, however. I didn't order bluetooth, and it turns out that it would be a handy addition for me to have.

So, can I install the part that Sager uses to add bluetooth functionality myself? Is it available?

I've been building my own systems for years, so I have no issues with taking this thing apart to install something if that's within the realm of possibility. Otherwise I guess I'll need to get an add-in card or USB device of some kind to add that function in. I'd much rather have it work as if it were "factory equipped" though.

I suppose I could probably send it back to Sager and have them do it, but shipping costs are prohibitive and I don't know what they'd charge to add that in. It was $55 option, I'm kinda ticked I didn't check it off.

You have many options. First, you can contact Sager and talk about purchasing the card. The install is definitely DIY, and fairly easy. Second, you can look into purchasing a card from a place like NewEgg or something, if the options Sager offers you aren't desirable.

Called Sager yesterday, they allowed me to buy the card and they're shipping it to me. Nice to not have to send the darn thing back!

Nice. How much did the card cost? $55?
