Screen resolution on 7700

Is there any way possible to configure my AW 7700 to scale up the resolution but not strech, by black bars? I have the ATI Mobility X800 card and it's really annoying to play a game like starcraft only using a couple inches of a 17" widescreen and changing the aspect ratio is just out of the picture.

Also, since my warranty has expired I'm considering putting Artic Silver on the graphics card and processor, any hints for this procedure?

This website can help with most games, however if your game is not listed just track down the config file that controls the screen resolution and modify it (save a backup first) also most times the FOW and Aspect Ratio will be fine so long as the Res you use is the same as you screen/card/desktop, however some games like Quake and Doom III you can play around with all the settings. Hope this helps!
