beryl messing with right clicks?

I know the drill, first things first the setup:

Ubuntu Edgy (all the updated installed)
Beryl 0.1.4
Xorg 7.1 (with composite extensions enabled....AIGLX)
OSS "radeon" drivers

What happened: When I right click in any app (firefox, openoffice, evolution...) the right click menu comes up BEHIND the application where its rightclicked (visible either through transparency or a piece of the menu hanging off to the side if right clicking in a non-maximized window, somewhere close to the edge) . Right clicking on the desktop (in gnome) worked fine. In GAIM, the status selector also spawned BEHIND the gaim buddy window.

Solution: reboot

Question: Why did it happen? Anyone else experience something funky like that?

When I first setup beryl on my Dad's machine the bottom gnome panel wasn't showing up but a reboot fixed it. He's been fine since then. I'm guessing you will be too.

I was messing with Beryl on a live CD on my mom's computer over xmas (since I don't have a computer with a capable graphics card), and I got the feeling that it's still VERY beta, much more than the 'eye candy' crowd would want us to think.

Still very impressive, especially since it beat Vista to market, but needs some polishing for sure.

I'm not running Ubuntu, but I am running the latest Beryl. I have not seen the problem. Also, I only use Nvidia... not sure if that's related. Also, I use KDE instead of Gnome (perhaps too many differences between our configs).
