Dell XPS gen1 2nd HD
Ok, it took me almost 2 years but i'm getting my XPS gen1. Hope 1K was too much for a mint with 9800, anyway... I see that people offer a hard drive caddy. Does this lappy offer a 2nd HD bay or must I take out the optical drive or something?

Not sure about that one XPS Gen 1.
I bought a caddy for my 9300. It also works with my E1705. It does replace the DVD/CD drive. I swap them out as needed. I use it as a secondary drive.

To use a second hard drive in the XPS gen 1, get a Hard Drive caddy for a Latitude Notebook. The XPS Gen1/9100 has a removable DBay module like the latitude notebooks.
