So a few months ago my 9300 was getting too hot, and the general recommendation was to open it up and clean out the layer of lint that tends to form between the heatsinks.

So I did that, and everything was dandy, and now it's starting to overheat again and I'm guessing the lint layer is back. I want to get rid of it, but I don't want to go through the whole long process of opening up my laptop again. So does anyone know of a quicker, easier way to get rid of this shit without taking apart the entire computer? It seems like it'd be impossible to get at with just some compressed air...

unfortunately the best way to make sure everything is dust free is to open your laptop again.. i open both my laptop once a month to clean the fans..

A can of compressed air will help, but not near as much as opening it up.

Honestly, I took a vacuum pipe to the vents and it worked wonders as a temporary solution for cleaning out dirt/dust.

But a once a month cleaning can help. Personally, I do it every six months as it's far easier to keep my workspace clean and free of dust. That helps a lot as well.
