So I've got Vista off... Xp on.. Now I'm on a driver hunt.. Dell doesnt have all the XP drivers.. only some.. so any suggestions? I can't find audio drivers, video drivers.. Not fun

After some application compatibility issues I also decided to go down the XP route.

Dell provide some XP drivers for the 1521 but for some reason not all. Fortunately the Lattitude business models share a lot of the same hardware and have more extensive XP support.

The following are available from the Dell Drivers & Downloads section for the Inspiron 1521 running Windows XP:

I have not used the modem or card reader but the drivers installed without complaint and appear correctly in the Device Manager list. I have tested everything else and it works perfectly!

I have base system device question marks in the device manager. I went from vista to xp and can't seem to find the drivers.

driver heaven, i think is the name (do a google search)..they require an email to register but, will send you a link to access all of the drivers out there for most pieces of hardware..it is a great site.
