Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Yeah, but look at the MX700 that Jfergara posted. 350/350 to 420/400 (a very minimal overclock) yields almost 2900 on the X700--and I'm sure you can overclock it even more. Again, the difference isn't that great, but the X700 still nudges out the 6600...

The X700 and 6600 are fairly similar in performance when in a similar chassis. The Z71v's 6600 is pretty sad. The 6600 gets a lot more out of overclocking than the X700, as well.

If I go crazy this week, I might be able to promise a 3000 on 3dmark05.

(Crazy as in buying another stick of DDR2 module to match my 1 gig and tweaking the computer for a couple of hours setting up the laptop maximum performance. Also I might have to prepare some sacrificial bannana's for the 3000 3dmark05 trek. No promises though I'm kinda busy...)

My new Sager 5720 (1920x1200), gave me 6673 points on 3DMARK2005.

Is this good ? (Not kidding...I am new testing GPUs... )

Mine is a Sager 5720 Geforce 7800GTX 256 Video RAM, 1GB RAM, WUXGA 1920x1200 Screen. (a VERY good machine !!!!) I am so happy with it.

BTW : This is my first message on this forum. I am searching other Sager Users to talk about it.
Good to be here.

Remember guys not all x700's are made equal.

The ones on the Z70Va's seem to clock the lowest, while the sager's modular x700 with 256mb vram and Acer's x700's seem to clock higest.

Too bad for us Asus owners

I think I could challenge that statement about the Sager and Acer models with my Toshiba
