I have had a terrible time with the built in Mic array on my Vostro 1500 and static in recording. Playback is what is to be expected but I cannot use voice software like vent or ts at all. If I select Mic no audio is heard, if I select digital mic (which I believe is the array) there is a horrible screeching static that kills your ears, but you can hear recording.

I found that when I uninstalled Intellisonic or whatever the mic array software is called, the problem stopped and the recording is clear.

So my question is whether the IS software is just software or is it also the driver and software and its not compatible with the stand alone drivers? or is it just crappy software that under the right circumstance works?
