Install APHotKey - HKNTDLL.dll is Trojan

I'm trying to install the AP hot key utility on my Sager NP9261 and during install, the file HKNTDLL.dll triggers Avast as a Trojan.
Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?

It enables the additional keys on the keyboard (the 3 silver ones next to the power button and the 2 silver ones to the left of the keyboard).
