Hypersonic Wins CPU Mag's Dream PC
Excerpt: “But Hypersonic managed to out-clock everybody by nudging the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 to 4.275GHz. The benchmarks tell the rest of the story.”
“The Sonic Boom ATS blew past PCMark Vantage, posting the highest scores in the overall and every sub-test save TV And Movies, in which it came in second. This beast also bested every other contending system with its impressive P21758 3DMark Vantage score. Sandra’s Memory Bandwidth and WinRAR were the only tests in which the Sonic Boom ATS didn’t perform well, but those tests were hardly enough to scuff the finish on this prized PC.” “Considering the competition, the folks at Hypersonic deserve the win for the Sonic Boom ATS on its performance alone. That Hypersonic managed to place in the top three in a majority of the benchmarks using the same hardware as everybody else makes the feat even more impressive. It’s official: The Sonic Boom ATS sets the bar for luxury PCs.” “Undeniably, the overall performance crown goes to Hypersonic PC: The Sonic Boom ATS dominated everything we threw at it, and all other aspects of the build were stellar.” Entire online article: http://www.computerpoweruser.com/edi...d=&emid=175998 ---I know that this is mainly a notebook forum, but since this is also company news, I thought I would post the article here for everyone to view.--- |

not yet but thats how much I have budgeted for one...every time I get ready to start I go to http://www.theinquirer.net/ and they are talking about something new commin down the pipeline in the next few months so I wait.....every time I get ready same thing happens.....but this time I am gonna start in late october or early september.......looks like there is gonna be a lot of good war games commin out and 2008 was a poor year for war games so that drew me back from building one already...lot of games were suppose to come out but all the good ones or the ones I wanted were delayed till late 2008 or early 2009......
I only bought 2 games this year and thats an all time low for me...usualy buy at least 4.... |

I finaly bought Call Of Duty 4 ,2 weeks ago......I waited because I dont think it was worth the price so when the price fell about 20 bucks I went ahead and got it....I was right..it wasnt worth the full price.....I dont play anything but world war 2 games (germany not japan).....I really only like the ones that are historicaly correct...although I really enjoyed Medal Of Honor Airborne...the final mission was a little far fetched but it was a fun game to play...I basicaly have played through it 5 times.....COD-4 took me less than 16 hours to complete I also bought Turning Point Fall Of Liberty...finished it in less than 10 hours...it was ok for a fiction based game...but I should have waited till the price on that one below 20 bucks.......
I hate what I call maze games and run and shoot games....I like oipen maps where they are not scripted....MOH Aireborne was sort of open maps....but there have been some games ...not very many, that the maps allowed yopu to go just about anywhere and complete missions in anyway you choose...those type I love and dont mind paying 50-70 bucks for them....tell ya its gotten so bad that I wont buy any game if they dont put out a Demo first...no tellin how many games I bought because of the screen shots. some reviews and looking at the box that turned out to be crap and I played them for less than 1 hour I dont trust gamers mags anymore, they give good reviews to crappy games and crappy reviews to some good games...so I download and try a Demo first...no Demo..I dont buy.....well unless it from the same developers of games I have already played and loved.....Like the Medal Of Honor and the Call Of Duty series....I also like the Brothers in arms series......but BIA does need some improvements.....lets just hope 2009 is better for us War gamers than 2008 was. I hit level 55 in COD4, and then stopped playing for a bit. Last week, I went to log back in, and all my stats, unlocks etc. were gone.
Starting over again from scratch. Really is more fun with the unlock options. |

Whats bad is some game reviewers are writing that people are getting tired of fighting Germans in WW-II......I dont see that, I know plenty of gamers who like me only play those games....I think the reviewers were the only ones tired of it....O mean they get a copy free of just about every game out there.....
Fighting in WW-II Germany for me has everything....fighting in deserts....in snow...mountains...forests.....big cities...small villages ec tect...those games have it all......Nam gmes didnt go so well with me..all were about the same..nothing but jungle fighting and a few villages...just about the same with Japan......now with all the middle east games...its just fighting in sand..... I use to test for nFusion...all their games were totaly open maps..not scripted a bit...they were even low budget...less than 30 bucks per game......and they were fun to play......but those idiots who write reviews for the gaming mags always gave them bad reviews except for 2 of their games......they now only make games for consols...which sux.....I wont buy a consol...... I do play some games like half life.....I will buy Crysis when the price drops..Im played the demo but again I dont think its worth top dollar...I also played Far Cry...and it was great...I read they are commin out with Far Cry 2 for the PC next year...I will pay top price for that one..... Plus waiting a bit to buy a game gives them time to patch it...I reserved MOH Airborne...and had already played it twice before the first patch came out. |
