router problem (not sure where to post this)

sorry if this is the wrong spot - i usually come here for my questions.

i have a gatway notebook i bought 3 years ago. verizon dsl with a linksys speedbooster wireless router. set it up 3+ years ago and it has been running great since.

we had a power outage for like 5 minutes and now something doesn't work. it is plugged into a surge protector but maybe it didn't work. i was on the phone with verizon for an hour and they decided it was my router.

i can access the internet when i am hard wired to the modem. i am connected to my router (i reset all the security so it is default like out of the box). wireless signal says excellent strength, 54 mb/s. but for some reason it won't route anything. i have a networked printer hooked up to it and i can't print. and i can't access the internet through the router either.

they changed the setup of the router and modem (ppoe vs dynamic or something like that - modem is ppoe now and router dynamic) but still nothing.

is this a problem anyone knows how to fix, or am i looking at buying a new wireless router????? firmware update, or maybe do i have to call linksys (i really don't want to go through that again).

thanks!

i would try to reset the router and rerun the setup utility along with the configurations from scratch.

cheers ...
