I really want to get this computer. But I like the portibilty and style of the XPS M1530 more. will the M1530 be able to stand up to games such as World In Conflict and Total Wars? plus great review and great laptop. I understand my question is off topic, but if you could answer that would be great.

Has anyone been able to find this exact model on Gateway's website? I cant find it anywhere, it seems as if this model has completely vanished from everywhere.

Cant find it on gateways site, cant find anywhere to buy it, what the hell is going on with this model?

I believe that this P-7811FX model is being discontinued and replaced by the 173XL FX series

I purchased the P173FX-XL from Tiger Dircet with Extended warranty. 33 days after using it, I shut it down and would not boot up the next morning. "interactive logon failed to initialize" pop up anad endless loop occured. No way to recover with recovery partition and Gateway DOES not have recovery media for this unit. I had to send the unit back to Gateway (at my cost) to have it repaired. I will not buy another Gateway because of this. I will stick to Toshiba
BTW tiger's extended warranty does not cover this type of problem either.

sorry, but no. It was a review unit and I had to give it back to Gateway so it's not in my possession anymore.

I have only owned mine for a little over a month. The only trouble i've faced so far is the mic/camera/audio not working properly. Tis a shame when playing games and i'm not a lip reader so I havn't bothered to watch a movie on here yet.
