XP Service Pack 3 on PCG FX140

I have a PCG FX140 Sony Laptop. It has a 700Mhz P3. With XP and SP2 it showed the CPU speed as 695Mhz. I have now updated to SP3 and the CPU speed is now shown as 549Mhz. I wonder if this is just a reporting error by Windows or has it changed something? Pete

You might want to reinstall the chipset driver after SP3.

cheers ...
