replacement screen for inspiron 6000

hi,

i have a inspiron 6000 model# PP12L and need a new screen.
the one that is in there has the number 154X2LO2.
do i have to get one with the same number or can it be a different one, like one of these: LTN154X1, LTN154X2, LTN154X3, LTN154X3-L03, LTN154X3-L06, LTN154X3-L09, LTN154X3-L05, B154EW01

thanks

Most displays are the same in that they will work with the laptop of same screen size, when paired up with the original or compatible inverter.

But it is always the best to verify any specific display is compatible with your laptop.

The thing I have noticed is the mount for the inverter can vary which may present some minor issues during the swap.

To make things easier I may suggest getting the original Dell part with the inverter - there are tons of them on Ebay for one example.

I have replaced quite a few of these and purchasing an LCD panel that has the same number as yours will just make the swap go much easier and it should also be a quality panel. I buy the exact panel I'm replacing, if it is an 154X2LO2, I recommend purchasing that panel.
