Screen went black on my dv9000
I was doing some power point slides and my my screen went completely black, not blurry. I tried to move the mouse and press some buttons to see if it come back on but no luck. I turned it off and tried to restart it but nothing shows up on the screen, no boot screen, absolutely nothing.
When I press the power button all the lights come on and the HDD light comes on for like a second. Also when I power it on, the fan only works for like 2 seconds, but other than that it's all silent. Another thing I noticed is that when i power it on it stays with all the light on for like 10 and then restarts and does the same thing over and over until I power it of manually. I tried using an external monitor to see if it's the screen, but the monitor does not show anything either. It took it all apart and cleaned all the parts, that didn't help. I also did the reset by holding the power button for 30 sec, that also did not help. Can somebody help or give some advice? Thanks!!! Last edited by Seriy; 02-19-2009 at 05:47 PM. |

Swap the ram modules around? Or remove one of them, if you have 2?
I am kinda weary about the part that you took the comp apart and "clean" the parts up ![]() cheers ...
