acer charging troubles PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

OK i just changed my acer aspire 3002 laptop battery now it wont charge,the amber light comes on but then goes off for a few secs then comes back on,when the laptop is on its showing the computer going in and out of charging.i let the battery sit and charge over night but only went to 4%.anyone got any insight on this porb??

fyi when i shut off my laptop the time doesnt save.could the cmos battery be the problem.if anyone can help me get this thing charging ill be glasd to paY YA.

I assume it was a new battery that you put in. It is possible that its a bad battery too

yes it was a brand new battery from acer for the aspire 3002
well i got it nrrowed down to 2 things,a/c cord or the power inlet on the other board.

i jiggle the wire around and it will stay charging and start charge the battery.fyi its at 9%

i tested the cord and it showed 19 volts but when i moved the wires volts would drop like a rock i move them again and it will pick back up.

sounds like the dc pin on your mainboard is loose.
