ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 Linux Drivers
I am running Mandrake 10.0 on my 5670 and right now the drivers are for a generic flat panel, because I got the download Mandrake and didn't buy it. My question is, which driver should I use. Additionally, where can I find said driver?
Thanks. |

The screen drivers will more than likely always be generic flat panel, since you don't have a big name-brand monitor on the system. As for the video drivers, you can download some from ATI in most cases by just selecting the card family. Linux drivers are a bit difficult to install though if you don't know a lot about the settings. The best bet is to use the Mandrake packaged drivers; look and see if you can switch them out to the fglrx versions; those are typically the ones I see suggested most often.
