M1405 Keyboard issue !

Very Simple ! Use USB Desktop keyboard and power on the computer. You will see a keyboard Error, ignore it.

you can use Enter button.

Enter Key stuck. NO SOLUTION.

This machine has a Liquid Guard underneath the keyboard even he spilt few drops of liquid, its ok ! Liquid damage the various keys not one only. You need to get new Keyboard, run recovery CDs, upgrade the ram & enjoy it as a new computer.

Have a gr8 day

I have been given a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1405 Laptop, from my brother as he no longer uses it. He has told me the Enter key had stopped working, and he decided to buy a new laptop. He assures me he has spilt nothing on it, and has cleaned it etc to no gain. I have tried reinstalling all drivers again to no gain.
I have also noticed that he has put a pass word on the Bios setup. He cannt recall what he set this password to, so i have removed the CMOS battery, and the password is now blank, and i am able to access the bios settings.

The problem i now have, is that when i switch the laptop on it says the following:
CMOS settings wrong
CMOS date/time not set
Press F2 to run Setup

I have pressed F2, and tried to load all default settings. BUT i cannt press the enter key to confirm these settings. Arrgh..

So im a bit stuck, as to how to proceed.

I have tried a Recovery disk, but again this requires an ENTER key to proceed.

I have read about USB/PS/2 keyboards for laptops, but will they need installing, as at the moment i cannot get past the initial black start up screen?? And if so which one should i buy??

Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance
