Post Overclock aspire 3620

Hi guys my name is Yael

Illl tell u how to overclock this great laptop aspire 3620

-You need a program to modify the FSB

http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/

Download the main program

u dont need to install it, just unzip and run the program setFSB and choose the Clock generator CV125PAG and then Get FSB dont use the ultra option

This laptop comes with a Celeron M 1.5Ghz and u can overclock it to 1.75Ghz stable or up to 1.8 unstable

One more important thing, u need to move the sliders at the same time, at the same proportion, u cant just overclock the FSB itll cause to freeze the computer, if it freeze just turn it off by keeping pressed the power button 4 seconds until it go off.

Turn the computer completly off if you have problems in the boot (to reset the settings).

After the overclock you will need extra cooling, i recomend to lift a little the notebook, or use a cooling pad or something like that...

Enjoy and plz comment ur results, if you are not registered, do it, and comment good or bad things.

If u want to set the overclocking setting on the boot, read the text file that comes with the setFSB

-----------------------------
Command Line Switch Options
-----------------------------
SetFSB Version 2.2.124.91 has the following Command Line Switch Options.

-w : Wait [00-99 sec] default=10sec
-s : Set FSB [000-999 MHz]
-i : Increment(targetFSB > currentFSB) or Decrement(targetFSB < currentFSB) [00-99 MHz] default=max
-u : 0(default)=normal , 1=ultra
-b : 0(default)=normal , 1=background
-p : PCI-E [000-999 MHz] default=none
FSB overclock[set PCI-E then increase FSB], FSB underclock[decrease FSB then set PCI-E]
-q : Quiet [no GUI to be displayed at all]
-cg[string] : Clock Generator default=none Maximum 15 characters

Here is an example:

setfsb.exe -w00 -p119 -s119 -u0 -b1 -cg[CV125PAG] -q

This are the setting i use

Have a nice overclicking.

I was about to buy a new one, but now i ll buy it the next year.

This computer have a good performance among the laptops with the same level

( There is another way to overclock see it at this adress: , "thank you Ramiretz" and here http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3226)

This overclocking with the pinmod is not working with the chipset 910 that comes with the Acer Aspire 3620, i have tried, but it just dont work, Some pics here:

make sure that u have a 915 chipset, do not trust in programs, read it directly from the chip like in the pics.

And here some http://edmundtse.wordpress.com/2008/...pire-3627wxmi/

Sorry my english...

With the setFSB i am overclocking this Acer Aspire to 1.9Ghz stable still testing.... this are the comand line options i use "setFSB.exe -w08 -p122 -s127 -u0 -b1 -cg[CV125PAG] -q"
