Gaming Laptop help
Hi everyone,
I have been scanning these forums for weeks and I have a question. I am looking for a new gaming laptop with a $2000 dollar budget and have narrowed my choices to 1) Alienware m15x 2) Asus g51Vx-A1 3) Sager NP8662 I like options on all 3 but my questions are as follows-- Is Blu-ray that big of a deal on a laptop? How is Ati Mobility 3870 crossefire vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M (single) I am leaning in the direction of Alienware and Asus as I do alot of computing in the dark (I am a paramedic so when people are sleeping the backlight is a nice feature).. Or if anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to comment. Thank you Sean |

3870 CF soundly beats GTX 260m. Remember G51 downclocks 260m and has heat issues.
Is BR a big deal? To some yes others no, I have never used so I wouldn't miss. |

do you use blueray? if so then you can deem it "important"
if you dont use blueray then its not important. gaming wise games use dvd discs or CDs, since they dont use blueray (or if they do theres a dvd version, not sure) i would say purely for gaming its not important |
