NecessaryEvil has a few people on his/her side.
Wife's DV9500.

My wife decided that she liked my DV8000 more than her DV9000, so I'm swapping with her.

So, here's her laptop:

DV9548US
Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66ghz
Either 1gb, 2gb, or 2.5gb RAM
40gb hdd
DVD+-DL
256mb 8600GS
4965N WiFi
17" WXGA+ LCD
Santa Rosa chipset
3 USB
HDMI
GigE Ethernet
56k modem
Firewire
Expresscard
4-in-1 card reader
AC Adapter
Vista Home Premium
Potentially, a TV tuner & remote

Everything works perfectly. A couple scratches on the left side courtesy of Circuit City.

$350 tops. The reason is you can get a Asus G50 with 9800m GTX and faster and also 64bit CPU for $750. Brand new I can get a better notebook from BB for $450 only thing not as good maybe GPU.

Notebooks drop in value very fast. $350 was a high fair not that you could not get more from someone who does not know. But high fair. $250 is likely closer to real value.
