Have you tried logging on with the M17x only? Without your wife being on the Toshiba at the same time?

Squidly is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
Yeah, the latency is not as high but it's still too high going at around 250-290.

This is a bummer for me. I basicly do nothing but wireless, and it's going to suck if I can't play AOEIII with lag

Hi,
Have you reviewed you wireless NIC’s properties?

From the start menu, search NCPA.CPL
Right click the Wireless Network Connection and hit properties.
On the top right, hit the Configure button.
First click the power management tab and uncheck everything.

Then click on the Advanced tab
I don’t have your exact NIC card so these settings will differ, look for anything related to lowering power consumption and disable it / change to performance mode. I’d also look for other setting such as compatibility mode, chose performance / maximum range.

Reboot.

Let us know.

orijin has a few people on his/her side.
imo the intel cards seem a lot better reception and drive wise, broadcom's driver site is so vague. I hate the broadcom card in my unibody macbook, i wish i could install intels 5300 wifi card into it but i can't.

my choice would be upgrade to intel. For wow i also play it also my frame rates drop randomly but it also depends on the server you are playing on also. I get some lag spikes even on my m6300 that has a x9000 cpu and a fx3600m as a gpu I do not play on ultra setting either although i probably could.

yeah , the Broadcom website kinda sucks. I fixed my problems by installing a new router ( WGL-4500 gaming router) et opening it to the 5ghz band , in '' N'' only.

For now, everything is stable. I hope widows 7 will be smoother on those wireless card ..

thanks for the help everyone ..
