OK Djembe you are correct. I got my models mixed up. I do think they do have a little thermal work to do. But as you said it is not insurmountable.
OK on that subject I read something between the lines on the i7 reading yesterday. The Turbo function that is so cool on the i7's in my opinion. Is not guaranteed to reach the listed upclock speeds. This is because a limited thermal solution will not cause it to run just hot. It will cause it to not upclock. As wonderful as Turbo is this does throw a new challenge into the thermal design for the MFG's.
Also and this is all speculation. A company does not want to compete against itself. I honestly think Clevo wants to make the choice clear. I think a mobile i7 with dual 280m's would bite at the heels of their "Worlds most powerful" notebook the 9262. It is called brand dilution I believe and they don't want to do.
That will hold the 9850 upgrade back. We will see. When 9262 goes Dual GPU yea look for.
