The "CHARGE REGULATOR" chip is the problem in these. Voltage and current does not get from the power supply jack to the battery!

The USB should have 5 volts on it. The outside pins are the dc and the center pins are the data.

I would suguest searching ebay for the board. The # is usually around the ram sockets. There are 2 versions for this model. One is called a "Full Feature" and I forget what they called the lesser one. I think the full one has more usb jacks and firewire jack, BUT dont bet on that. Just a guess on that
