emachines d620

Hello I'm fixing my bro's emachines d620 and I see this laptop doesn't have a recovery partition. Does gateway sell recovery disks for emachines?

most likely it does. alt-f10 at boot to launch recovery. Or, alt-f10 in windows to launch erecovery. you should be able to burn recovery DVD's from there, but I recommend Alt-F10 before using the DVD's.

there is no recovery for the emachines. I've checked. your best bet is to buy a portable hard drive case($15) and put your hard drive in it. then go to another computer, copy the files off of it to a flash drive or disc. then reinstall windows brand new on the hard drive(wipe it clean) and then put your files back on it.
