I never said you were not going to run into hackers still. It helps and I don't game on MP on PC anymore there is no point in it. If I want to play games with my friends we all hop on our PS3's

That's normal with first release games before the patches start to appear. Doesn't affect me as much because I normally end up with 'Gold' editions with all the patches included.

Why?

I could say it's because it's cheaper to buy games that way, but that's only half of it. Mainly it's because I'm not much of a gamer and my missus won't let me spend as much time playing them now.

I want to know where Darq keeps finding these servers full of h4x. I've played in a couple CS Servers with hackers, but none so far in playing CoD4. Maybe it's just because I don't play on hardcore (read n00b) servers.

I dont find any of them because I play on PS3 and dont worry about it.

But It was Headquaters and Domination that had the hackers when I was playing on PC.

That would explain things, I mainly stick to Team Deathmatch or FFA. Don't like S&D (because if I wanted to play CS, I'd just go play CS)

I've been anti-COD since COD 2 was released. Now it looks like MrEvil is joining me. Welcome, comrade.

Anyway to me SD in COD is alot different than in CS. CS stays with the few paths concept where offensive teams likely stick closely together. COD maps are oriented with many paths and windows where teams dont necessarily have to stick together. To the average gamer, COD would be more fun since you can be rogue more often. Blah blah blah....

I was referring more to the "Get killed in the first 30 seconds of a round and spend the next 20 minutes watching the last 2 players left alive try to out-camp each other." aspect of S&D.

Ah, I never really ran into that problem Evil. When I ran into the hackers the rounds would normaly last less then a minute because some d-bag was running around outside the map or wall hacking.

I've found CoD4 to be especially bad about it in the few S&D games I played on. At least in CS the maps have very well defined choke points with good contrast to player models to mitigate camping. With CoD4 the maps are much more open.

Really, I just don't like that gametype. I didn't like it when they tried it in Day of Defeat (Anyone remember the paratrooper maps?) and I still don't like it. The only time I play CS anymore is on the zombie servers.
