New Clevo M980NU? Release date?

Hey Folks,
I thought that it was time to write a little, reminisce a little, and ask the question I really want to know.

I've been using my Sager 5960 for over two years now and have really enjoyed it. It is big, yes, it is heavy also, but it had performed marvelously and I haven't had any major problems. I'm running a Turion X2 TL-64 with two 320g Hitachi HD, 4 gigs of Corsair RAM and an incredible Atheros WLAN....oh, it had just one nVidia 7950gtx and not the SLI. Anyhow, with the new CS4, Autocad 2009, Revit 2009, 3ds Max, and a whole host of other demanding programs that we all use these days I think that it may be time to retire this beast buy a faster and more potent desktop replacement. I went searching the forums and the web in general to see what is out there only to discover that the new, biggest screened laptops are of the 18.4" variety. Clevo has a promising looking successor in the M980NU. However, I can't find when and where this monster will be released. If Charles @ pctorque would enlighten us all as to when it will be ready I believe that there may be some ready buyers.

Thanks for any info. that you may be able to provide.

Charles doesn't work for PC Torque anymore. But I can ask Mike. He may be able to shed some light.

Oh, I guess I've been away longer than I thought. If you or Mike know anything about when the M980NU will be released that would be great.

Thanks again!

Well, I've read a few forums and the tentative release date was said to be some time in May or June. We'll see if that is indeed the case.

Just got an in-depth look into the specs myself. Very impressive - notebook, gaming machine, desktop in one I should say.

I really like the look of it!

cheers ...
