MoeyKFA is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
I was told about 2.5 weeks ago they were going to get me a replacement unit which would take about 15-20 business days to get to me and the tech said he'd call me in a week with an update. A week later he called and said I could configure a Studio XPS 16 any way I want or take a refund. So I did a quick config and the XPS 16 I got to like 2500, so I immediately said refund because I paid more than that for the 1730. Not to mention the XPS 16 isn't a gaming machine anyway.

So supposedly I should be getting what I paid for the machine minus my sales tax. Which I think it should be around 3150 (I think it was close to 4000 before the discount). At the time I bought the machine I used the EPP program and got at least a 12% discount if not more. The EPP program only does a 7% now and I can actually get a better deal of 10% with one of my credit cards if I used it.

The downside is that I had used my Dell Preferred credit card to buy it because I took advantage of the no interest for 12 months, so I'm stuck with a Dell whether I want one or not.

They said it would take about 15 business days to get the credit back and not to build a new machine until I get the refund, which if I could build one now it would've been built and almost shipped by the time I got the money back. So now I might be lucky and get to build a new machine and have it shipped to me by the end of the year if not early Jan. That would put me out for about 3 months without a machine.

Tempted to use the money on a Wii console with some games and accessories and maybe a few other random things instead of getting another pc. I can just finish fixing my current desktop and use that instead
