Wanting to run two different OS
I've received a M6400 from Dell for me damaged M90 and will replace the original 150GB drive with a 350GB drive I have and add a 500GB drive which I should receive from Dell tomorrow.
As I use the laptop at work for running UG-NX5 on it I'd like to install Vista 64 bit, but also would like to try Windows 7 (which Dell said they can't upgrade me to so I might have to buy it). What I'm not sure about is if I should install one OS on one drive and the other on the second drive or partition one of the drives and install both OS on that drive. Guess if I install one OS per drive one drive could go down and I can still use the other. I'm not in a big hurry on this one as I haven't received the Vista 64 Bit DVD from Dell yet and can wait a bit on this. If any of you guys have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks |

If you have 2 drives I would definitively takes advantage of it and install the OS on both them, and not just different partitions.
cheers ...
