What to expect with the next gaming laptop generation

There have been a lot of questions about the Mobile 9800 now that other brands are announcing their upcoming models that will have the 9800. What has people so confused is why there have been no information of a new Sager model with the 9800 when they've worked to remain leading edge on performance.

After much testing Sager/Clevo have decided to pass up the 9800 to put all their work into a PCI-E based machine that is right around the corner. Expect to see this thing out early Q4 this year (some time after next month). What's so great about it? Well, it will have the latest video graphics in PCI-E form and has the potential for a nice jump in performance. The end user will be able to upgrade and swap their own video card and have their choice between using one of either of the two major graphics manufacturers (as their options become available if not with initial release).

There are no official product line release announcements yet, but things are looking good so I can't help but get it posted up in the information and rumors section to share =)

Expect to have the full specs by the end of next month.

Discuss it HERE

Also, to add to the info, if all goes as Sager plans, the graphics will not be from the X600 either. It will be based off the next level of graphics from the two leading manufacturers. It may release with just one and the other option become available shortly after. It depends on when the manufacturers are able to get what's already been tested out the door.
