TV Capture only records sound

I am just getting around to using the coax stuff on my 8886 and I tried to capture some TV in the VCR mode of TV studio, but when i go to review what was recorded it only plays the sound...

I haven’t put too much work into it, but i was hoping someone knew off-hand.

That might be the same strange problem Investorguy was having a few posts down CLICK
Try a reinstall like he did and see if it takes care of it.

I think someone (INetJunkie maybe....) else also had this problem. It may be useful to assign someone to compile a FAQ from the Sagerforums tech support and make it sticky. That would be a good moderator responsibility IMHO...

We cover a lot of good stuff here, but it gets dated quick and my experience w/ forums is that no one ever bothers to do a search...

I know that if there was a frequently updated user FAQ summary, I'd read new posts.

I was thinking about doing it... I just don't know how I'd do the format... what would be the easiest way to do it. I like the idea of a FAQ where you search for a keyword and it displays everything, almost like a knowledge base... Microsoft's Knowledge Base is sweet IMO, lol, despite other aspects of their company I have problems with :-)

I'd string together a bunch of posts where each post is quotes from other problems (each post would be a complete problem and forum-developed solution, i.e. a single (combined) post about how to make the 8886 run 50% on batteries, one about the TV Capture, one about using Intel AA to stop HD clicking, etc. Then put a little "thanks to:" at the end for whomever contributed.

Then make it sticky

Call it: The UBERFAQ: User Tips & Fixes From Sager Forums

At least that's what I'd do.

Kreep sounds like a young guy; maybe he's got time if you don't...
