Hope somebody can help.

I got a laptop computer from work for work, and it has a problem regarding time. Of course, the techs at work have no clue. The computer always resets the time back to the last time set. Example: If I set it to 9:00 a.m., and then use it for a few hours or all day and then turn it off or let it go into standby, once it is turned on again the time will be 9:00 a.m. They tried repalcing the cmos battery, but that didn't do anything. While the computer is in use, it will slowly lose the time over the course of the day, but always resets to the last time set when turned off.

The computer was also reformatted twice, and BTW, the cmos battery was replaced 3 times by our techs, just in case they had 3 bad batteries I guess. It's useable the way it is, but a pain the you know what to have to update the time every few hours. If we get more then an hour difference from the server time, the computer gets disconnected. BTW, we use this wirelessly and wired.

I'm hoping someone here can help. I am not an adminsitrator, so there is only a limited amount of things I may be able to try.

TIA,

Larry
