CD-RW issues

Hello all,

the Sony CD-RW CRW800E drive on my iBook doesn't burn CD's. it reads CD's fine...but for some odd reason it will not burn.

My first guess is that it is a firmware issue...but I have yet to find a good place to get the latest for the drive.

Any ideas?

it is the 2002 iBook. I haven't trashed the prefs yet nor reset the open firmware. I actually have no idea how to reset firmware.

I am using iTunes to burn. I also tried to burn on Toast...both of them do not work.
