Does Battlefield Vietnam work for anyone?
Does anyone have BF Vietnam working on a Sager NP3790?
With the stock drivers from Sager (8.04), BFV crashes immediately upon startup, going directly to the MS "report this error?" dialog. AppName: bfvietnam.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: bfvietnam.exe ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 006798d9 I tried the Catalyst 4.11 drivers (modded, of course) and it got farther - actually to the point of letting me start a game. But as soon as it tried to switch video modes to the game resolution it would go into an infinite cycle, flashing the desktop and never starting. I have since reverted back to the stock drivers because DVD playback is choppy with the 4.11 drivers. I'm completely dumbfounded. Help? The options I got: Sager NP3790, 2GHz, WSXGA, 1G RAM, Bluetooth, the DL DVD writer. Running WinXP Pro SP2 Thanks, Jeff |

Answering my own question for posterity's sake:
In VideoDefault.con, change renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0 to renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1 |

I have the same problem and I'm not sure how to do what you did to fix it.
