Anyone have any issues with the sata378 promise controller not able to detect the hard disk in ATA mode ... just hangs after trying to detect after two dots ..

Most of the time it can find the hard drive but every now and then it cannot and just hangs after trying to detect.

You may want to remove the drives and make sure the connections are good.
