Customize Asus Z71V Covers

FYI..

You could customize the Asus Z71V cover with a very nice design of your own or pick from anyone of these.

From StarTech:

We have recently come up with a way to enhance your Z71 with custom graphics. We will use high quality vinyl and cut it to the shape of the Z71 inlay on the lid. The vinyl will last 7 years without fading. This is great for someone who wants to have their laptop be a little different.

If you are interested in something like this, we can also do custom ones. Here is a link to the examples page: http://pc11.flashecom.com/startech/s...s.asp?pid=1176

The ones we have designed are 69.99, and custom ones are 79.99.
When you purchase a Z71 you get a 30$ off coupon to make them 39.99 & 49.99 respectively.

(What if you already own a Z71V ehehhe)

We will sell them seperate.

Heya - 1st post, but i've been looking at these forums for months (finally decided on an Asus Z71, uber happy with my purchase from ISTNC so far. By the by, thanks for all you do Smilepak) What the cover is, is a vinyl covering. I haven't checked prices, but i know its fairly cheap to have cut and printed, ect. Your local graphics/sign/embrodarie(sp?) store would have the material, the question would be if they print it out on a digital printer (which i believe they do) or not. Not all places have the digital printer. So if you or a relative runs a shop like the one formenchioned, then yes Whitewind, you can make them yourself (assuming you have some graphics experience.) All they do is measure out the Z71 (or insert lappy name here) for its dimensions, then print out something those dimensions, peel the vinyl, and put it on. Vinyl is a really common material you likely see several times a day. Letters on windows are usually Vinyl, ect. (enough of the lecture, eh?)

I think someone sent a link to a site in one of the other thread of a company doing something similar. They will print it out for you and you have to cut and measure yourself.

This one, on the other hand, is pre-cut and measured. So there isn't any mistake.
