The Half-Life 2: Lost Coast Stress Test is a built in graphical demo that will test the performance of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast on the computer you are playing on (Not to be confused with the Half-Life 2 Stress Test). Just like the Counterstrike: Source Test, the Lost Coast Stress Test can be found on the main menu of the game, and when activated, will run through a short demo evaluating the components in your computer. Here is an example of the test.
At the end of the Stress Test, the program will output a number that determines a score which represents the average frames per second displayed. The higher the number, the better your computer can handle running Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. To find how well your computer can run the test, the graphic options should be set on the highest possible resolution and settings. This will determine on what level your notebook stands. This number should be considerable lower than the Counterstrike: Source Stress Test because the Lost Coast Test was built to show off the new high dynamic range (HDR) rendering implemented.
