Overclock D600 1.6G to 2.13G (hardware modification with photos)

First you need some things they are

memory stick

Hp bootable software to make mem key bootable.

google the HP bootable thing it's easy to find.

Nvflash the newest version that supports 8800m

Nibitor the newest version that supports 8800m

9262 with 8800m

the .14 bios for 8800m and the .13 9262 pheonix bios from EUROCOM/Sager. it's the one that supports SLI for 8800m so if you have it you allready are set.

I have been working with this notebook alot.

I have sucessfully found the best bios combo for overclocking the GPU and CPU.

the CPU Overclocking is multiplier locked so what you have to do is what's called a pin mod.

these new CPU's have different pins than the good o'le days so it makes it easier.

My mod I did with simple Black electrical TAPE!

Okay, I'm only doing this again because I was initially confused myself, and had a helluva time trying to get this to work again...this is weird because the machines are not that different, and the OS's are identical (WinXP)...at any rate, here are the new instructions for those of us who are 'slow' on the uptake:

Hi all everyone has been asking for it so here it is!
How to get a 7900GTX in a Dell 9400, (I take no responsibility for damaging your laptop! do it at your own risk!)

Step 1
Load new A01 9400/E1705 Bios onto the laptop

Step 2
Remove Screen/Keyboard/palm rest from the laptop.

Step 2
Remove the original video card.

Step 3
Remove metal from above CPU heatsink area.
