Angry Any place that sells WXGA+ M6BNE /other than/ proportable?

As good as the laptop looks, I refuse to pay $180 for a 512 stick of RAM. A 60/5400 at newegg costs $20 less than their 40. I emailed them and they don't do barebones. Of course.

Any other places that sell the WXGA+ M6BNE ?

edit: WXGA+ = 1440x900

http://usa.asus.com/wheretobuy/WTB_Notebook.htm

Those are all the online resellers in the US.

Here's two that I know sell barebones:

http://www.computerbrain.com/cbisys/...otebooks&id=21
http://1toppc.com/Merchant2/merchant..._Code=Notebook

I hear you about the ram; it is definately cheaper to purchase it and put it in yourself.

This could easily be a mistake - I have no info on Asus M6N being available in North America with anything other than 15.1 SXGA+ or the WXGA 15.4 inch screen.
In Europe, Australia, and Asia you can get the M6N with WSXGA 15.4 but even on the asus website WXGA is the only 15.4 option for North America.
I would tripple check with ProPortable - most probably it is either an error or a comersial trick to justify the higher prices they have.

WXGA+ M6 doesn't exist. The following do:

WXGA
SXGA+
WSXGA+ (NOT NORTH AMERICA)

I was too lazy to look it up because there's no chance of me getting it either way

Hmm odd. I was searching around and saw some post that said "in August proportable will be carrying the wxga+, he told me to pass it on" or something along those lines. Sure enough they had it.

Interesting Sigh. Back to the drawing board.

That was when they were unsure if the WSXGA+ models would be coming to North America, but in the end the North America Asus divisions decided they wanted all the WSXGA+ screens to go in the W1 and there would be no WSXGA+ here

to the poster: You do know that the "+" in the resolution means that the video card can output a higher res than what the lcd screen can show

Right. SXGA+, WXGA, and (everywhere but North America) WSXGA+.

A fella could make a bit of money on eBay reselling WSXGA+ M6s into the US. I would probably buy one, and sell my M6Ne.
