New XPS A04 BIOS causing I9KFanGUI to give wrong temps

ok, i've searched for this but didn't really find anything specific...

i remember someone posting about this and he tried an uninstall/install but it didn't help...

i've submitted the problem to the I9KFanGui site but haven't heard anything back yet...

anyone else having problems? anyone have any solutions?

thanks in advance

does this apply to 9300 a04 too? I have no apparent problems with the 9300.

don't know but would assume no unless the 9300 just got a BIOS upgrade too...

You have to refresh I9KFanGUI.

Clear each part and restart . . .

thanks for your help... i don't know what's wrong because after a total new install the temps are still several degrees higher than what they were just before the BIOS upgrade... and the CPU temp jumps around from 33 to 43 and back while keying this... lol now it's down to 31...

geez, just when i was totally satisfied with my setup... so it goes... i feel like opening it up and seeing if there's a dust ball or something but then i think well the temps would stay high...

i'm just confused...

They work fine, all you have to do is reset i9kfangui by going into option and your good to go. The reading for me doesn't increase or lower the temp.

I keep praying for all you Gen2 folks that they give you the 7800 Go...

THAT would be pure gaming love imo

We have 1 great big asset on our side: Dell's future footprint.
The next Gen will be 19" and that will auto-eliminate itself for many people simply by size.

So... to keep the Gen 2 interesting Dell HAS to upgrade the vid card.
Besides, we paid top Dollar for upgradability... we should at least have 1 round of upgrades then or else some sort of rebate.
