Odd Fan Problem ...
Hello, I've discovered this problem for a long time now, although it's not exactly annoying, but I thought I'd share it to see anyone would want to help me. This is the "middle" generation laptop (there are 3, the old one, the new one (mine) and the 7700 one (big fat one)).
Basically, say, overnight I leave it off. In the morning, I turn it on again. The laptop is running normal, and is not hot. When I play games on it, it gradually builds up heat, but the "other" fans don't come on. Initally when you turn it on and the laptop isn't hot yet, only one fan is on. But it used to be as the laptop gets hot, more fans comes on. This of course, makes the laptop get hotter and hotter. Nothing I do can make the fan turn on. However, I once accidently pulled out the plug, and noticed the laptop getting noisier, which is the fans coming back on again. I put the plug back in and everything runs normal. The problem here is not that all the fans won't come on when I play games, and that I have to pull the plug and put it back in for it to "detect" the heat and activate all the fans in it to keep the laptop cool. Anyone have this problem?
