DirtyApe is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
flashed to a04 bios and sensors dont work now...

i just flashed my bios from A01 to A04 and when the comp booted to windows it gave me a message saying that it detected a bios flash/downgrade and disabled the ram and gpu sensors. how do i go about enabing these again? i like to keep tabs on how how my system is getting. thanks in advance for any help

PS: i tried using the search feature but it was broken when i tried to research my little problem.

I don't know what laptop you have...if you have an XPS 2, then try A05.

Regardless of your laptop type, you should flash to an earlier version if you can find the Dell utilities to do so. I think you can see earlier versions by clicking a link on the page where you downloaded the new version.

Oh, that is just a FanGUI warning. Just go back into FanGUI and re enable them. No biggie

did you notice higher temps? I noticed the new bios runs the fans slower

i didnt flash to the A05 version...i flashed to A04 cuz i heard some thing about higher temps and my lappy runs hot enough. everything seems to idle about the same. my ram seems to be reading about 2C cooler than with the A01 bios.

The stock temps are kind of irrelevant if you are using FanGUI. FanGUI over rides any BIOS settings with the set points you give it. So don't worry about the extra temp with A05 if you are using FanGUI.
