Refurbished 1705

Hi All,
I'm sure this has been covered before, but what are the general feelings on refurbished systems from Dell? I have purchased 2 new desk tops from them a few years back which we still have. I've been completly happy with them but feel it's time for an upgrade. So I'm looking at a laptop replacement. Figured that way I can have the best of both worlds, power + mobility.

I saw a deal for the following system on the Dell Outlet site.

Inspirion 9400/1705 Windows XP Professional
Intel Core Duo Processor T2400 1.83 ghz
17" UltrSharp wide screen UXGA w/TrueLife
80 gig 5400 hard drive
1 gig 533 mhz SDDR Ram
8X DVD +/- RW w/dual layer write capability
256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 video card

Along with all the "bloatware" it also comes wiith Ms Office Professional 2003 which I think is a good program.

Cost after instant discount is $1,436.00

I can add a 3 year On site service accidental dame coverage for $217.00 which comes out to about 72 bucks a year. The web page says this is a Certerified Refurbished system. Since it's refurbished, I thought it might be a good idea to have some extra coverage on it.

This is about $500 less than a similar new system of the same configuration.

So, do you think this is a good system and should I pull the trigger or wait to see if Dell comes up with one of their scarce $750.00 off new systems.....
